This is in Point Reyes, CA. One of the more remote spots on the Point, about a mile hike to the beach and very steep but worth it.
Canon 50d, f10, 1/640. Comments appreciated.

One of my favorite spots in Point Reyes. It's amazing how this beach takes the full brunt of the Pacific due to its exposed location . . . the surf gives it a makeover on a regular basis and it always looks different. I like the way you've captured the big waves hitting the rocks on the point out there, and the exposure feels nicely balanced despite the bright morning light. It's a tough place to compose effectively but this works well enough. Seems like it could use a bit more web sharpening . . .

Lucy,
Point Reyes is a wonderful location. I like the crashing surf in the image and the color works well, but to me the FG rocks are a little distracting from what you intended the subject of the image to be. I agree with Phil that the image is a bit soft. Hope to see more of your images. Best Regards.

Thanks Phil and Michael. Always good to "meet" fellow Point Reyes admirers.
