Perhaps I am bending the rules here, but being new to NPN I am hopeful to be cut a bit of newbie slack. This photo was taken in the early morning on Squam Lake in the mountains of NH. This pristine lake is the home to many birds including, loons, eagles and...the Great Blue Heron. I guess I like this picture as much for what it does not show as what it does. Canon 5DM2 16mm F22, 1.6s

Hi Richie:
I think you have a very serene image here. Nice light, flow composition and color balance. That said, it really does not belong in the Avian Gallery. From the Posting guidelines: Avian Gallery - All images with birds as the main subject.

I'm not going to move this one since you've already posted images very recently in the Landscape gallery and that would create a conflict with other rules about using NPN (i.e. posting one image per gallery within a 48 hour period).

We'll look forward to more of your work in Avian that include birds as the main subject.
