With the end of summer comes migration and the shorebirds, like these plovers, are gone until spring. This is similar to a shot I posted a month ago

Nikon D300s 300 f4 + 1.7X TC HH
f/8
1/800s
ISO 800
-.33 EC

Cropped to 58%, sharpened using smart sharpen, minor clone of OOF elements in CS5 on 27" iMac

The mood in this image is what strikes me the most Luke. Something about the colors in the BG will all those pebbles scattered around. The bird lit against the grey tones is really nice. Love it.

Nice light and I like the raised foot. Maybe just a little off the top.

I like the light & warm colors Luke, cool high stepping action pose.
The gray/setting with scattered pebbles works nicely too.
Great POV & comp, well done :toast:

Neat Luke, nice raised foot, and I actually like all the little mud blobs.

The raised foot and water droplets make this shot for me Luke, I'd consider cropping the white reflection from the bottom. :toast:
