This is my first image of this little warbler.
From early this morning around 8:00
The perch is an old whisky barrel planter near our water fountain.

A really nice shot of this warbler Howard. I have never seen one in person. Somehow I missed this species when I used to live in Wisconsin. I like the comp as the wood is nice and weathered and the remaining BG is very nice. Bird is sharp with good detail.

Quite the shot IMO. Mourning Warblers are skulkers and very hard to see. They are rare vagrants in the western U.S. (NM, AZ, CO, CA) but I don't know their status in TX. Timing is right on - late Aug to mid Sept.

Congrats on your first of this species Howard. Great soft light, and good exposure. Details in the larger version are very good. Looks very intent on something. Cheers.

Good exposure, comp and detail. The perch is a bit overwhelming, but I just like this photo!

Excellent shot of a tough species Howard. I like the lighting and detail. If you have more room on top I might add that and crop from the bottom to minimize the perch a bit.

Howard, the comp on this is super cool! I guess this is one of those barrel flower planters? I just like the texture it brings. Also like the soft light in this. Good work!

Really nice details on this little bird and I really like its pose. The planter makes a good perch I think. Super capture.
