Saw this shrimp boat docked at a local fish market and just had to put off shopping long enough to catch a quick shot. Loved the combination of colors and water ripples. Shot this several years back and just got around to processing it.

D2x w. 70-200 VR @ 130mm
1/800 @ f/2.8 (don't ask me why - I don't have a clue!!)
100 ISO
No filters (that I remember)
Tripod
Capture One 6, CS4

Your thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Very appealing image. Love the character of old wood fishing boats, having grown up with them on Lake Erie.
The 2.8 worked fine, but I think I'd like the whole anchor and just a bit more of the lines on top.
Nice!

Thanks Sandy - good point on the anchor/lines, but the situation just didn't allow for a different crop. There was an rather intense and distracting intrusion on the deck of the black boat in the BG, so I had to crop it down to this point. I shouldn't have been in such a hurry to shoot the shot as I'm sure I probably could have composed it differently to reduce/eliminate the distraction. :wavey:

Really nice composition. The processing looks great, too

Beautiful colors and scene. I was also looking at the cutoff anchor. I think if you clone out that line going out to it at the top, the cutoff feeling will go away.
