Flowers

A departure from the grass I been have doing lately. When I shot this there was a breeze blowing, so there is some motion blur in some of the flowers. I've looked at this and worked on it some, an I kind of like it, but I don't know if it will appeal to others. I would appreciate any comments or critiques about the image.

I like it. I was out the other day trying to compose an interesting shot of Ballheaded Gilia without any luck. I think the wind works in your favor here. Very nice

I like this very much Richard. The flowers look similar to Rocky Mountain Bee Plant and I haven't seen any here this year.

Beautiful colors and the dof decision works well for me. I also like the detail captured in the fg flowers. Ideally for me there might be a sharp flower in the front on the left side but it's a niggle and not a problem. I might clone/darken the lighter stem? just left of center in the back. Again just a minor thing and it may just be me.

Year before last I shot probably several hundred images of Bee Plant and I like this better than anything I got. Very fine work for my tastes.

Richard, Really great DOF. As the eye enters the image, it's really interesting to follow the various paths through the flowers. I can see this framed in white and a light lavender.

Nice job.

Regards,

Carol

Richard, Nice frame filling arrangement of the Cleome (aka Spider Flower). :toast: :toast: . It looks good to me and if possible I'd have avoided clipping some of the groups by the bottom edge of the frame.

Very nice frame filling comp. The combination of blurred and sharp flowers works for me.

Richard:
A fine image. I like the wind effect and there is at least one sharp bloom to rest my eyes on . Lovely color palette.

Richard: This looks like a variation of cleome. We have some in our garden and I work really hard at finding a comp I like. You've done well IMO. Nicely done.>=))>

I like this a lot! Great soft pastel colors, soft light, and excellent detail and texture. I do like Pat's suggestions, but still works so well as is.
