Morning Light

At the breaking of dawn last week there was this dramatic sky and calm reflective waters. Taken with Canon 40D using 10-22 IS lens which allowed the flowers in the foreground to be included.

Comments welcomed.

Nice shot Patricia. Very moody, and nice comp. With the exception of the flowers, these feels like a gloomy winter's morn, the kind I like! Nicely done.

A very moody image, Patricia. I think this would also work beautifully as a B&W.

Very cool shot.. very moody colors as stated. I might try to crop a bit off the top, and see what that looks like. Perhaps right beneath the window to the blue sky.

Patricia, I think this is wonderful. The mood and feel of this is fantastic. The foreground flowers add a very nice touch to this also. I love images like this, and this one is especially nice. I do like it as is, but also think Navin's crop idea would work great. Really nice work.

Lots to enjoy here, Patricia. Reflection, flowers, islands, and clouds, and the soft saturation creates works well with all of them.

Very calm, moody image. I like the understated processing you used here Patricia.

I like the mood here Patricia. The foreground flowers are a wonderful element. Nova Scotia? It has that look.

Patricia,

Definitely quite the mood here - I would say almost somber and certainly captures a chill in the air kind of PNW, damp, the sun never shines kinda land/seascape. Not a bad thing, I think this captures the mood of the area quite well. This also has a look of purity too.
