Bronzed Prairie
by Parnell Legg
These fields are just outside of Calgary and I more often than not get drawn to this area so much so I often don't get much further at sunrise. This morning the sun rose and spilled a beautiful golden light that had the grass glimmering. I caught this shot but something still feels off. Any insight on the shot or the processing would be appreciated.
Thanks!

I too love how the summer grasses light up in early or late light. I think you've captured that well and you had a nice complimentary sky to go with it.
I think what may feel off to you is the color or white balance. It's almost like you had it on "cloudy" because in looking at it, it could stand to have quite a bit of blue removed from the grasses, bumping the red and green channels to give this more of a golden color to the grasses, which one would expect during the time of day. I'd play with the color balance a little if you want. I don't know what you're using for editing and I couldn't tell you anything about adjusting in RAW or Lightroom...
I'm sorry Parnell, but I'm gonna have to ruin just your second post here. Lots of folks overlook this in the beginning, but I'm going to move this to the Man & Nature gallery after posting my comment. The reason is, the "hand of man" and the fence. The fence provides a nice line pulling the viewer "down the line" so to speak, but it also means it belongs in the M&N Gallery. Hope you understand and if you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.
Welcome!
