Cliffs of Bohuslän

The granite cliffs of Bohuslän on the Swedish west coast are 900 million years old. They were grinded to soft shapes by the inland ice that withdraw not more than 12 000 years ago.
The picture is a combination of 4 different exposures for better dynamics.

I like the comp and the way the rock meander through the scene. That must be an interesting place for sure. The blending (HDR I guess) caused some flat tones and what looks like slight haloing around the high contrast edges. You might try to blend the shot with masks as in most cases the results are more natural and give you better control with the outcome.

Very interesting rocks for sure. The HDR blending makes it look very flat and lifeless though. From the look of the clouds I'm not sure HDR was needed, but if it was, it appears you overdid the processing.

Agreed, an interesting place but processing needs to be revisited.

Wow, would this be a fun place to visit. Fascinating place and gorgeous image with the soft tones and colors.

That is some fascinating coastline! I love the curvy composition, and the rock makes for a unique image. I think this has potential to become so much more with some better light.

Thanks for your comments,
You are absolutely right, the picture looks very flat. I shall never more use my laptop for processing. Here is a new version.

Very appealing use of shapes for this composition. The subdued colour palette works well enough but I would be interested in seeing this in different light.

a beautiful capture. The circle of vegetation makes it a little less hostile. This is very moody

Great comp and location. Get this with some dynamic light!
