I just thought I would post something different, as perhaps bears might be dominating the theme at present, LOL. Although you can never have enough bears.

For me this is one of the most majestic of ALL animals, not only to see, but to have photograph too. Also to have great fun in the process, with two super guys makes for an excellent mix. The tiger just suddenly appeared from nowhere and was in full prime condition. Taken late afternoon. Will post what happens next at some point, as it's good to have alternative animals being posted here and you don't want another tiger so soon.

Steve
Subject: Tiger on sandy track (Panthera tigris tigris)

Camera: Canon MKIII
Lens: 500f/4 - handheld

I am fine with tiger after tiger actually Steve...especially when they are this good! Love the colors and detail...but the open mouth and look he is giving sets this one apart for me...he almost looks like he is drooling

An amazing tiger image Stephen. Your composition is perfect and the detail and colors in the tiger are exquisite.

Solid tiger portrait in sweet light ! The dry ranthombore vegetation makes for a really pleasing background. Composing a tiger walking towards your vehicle this well is no mean feat either.

Beautiful exposure of a beautiful subject. Well done. There is no reference horizon here, but (and it might just be my eye) the stance makes me feel as if a bit of counter clockwise rotation would feel more true.

Very good low point of view Stephen. Very beautiful animal in nice condition. I too thought a bit of rotation was needed.

Great eye contact and detail in some nice soft light... I agree about a little CCW rotation. Beautiful capture Steve.

Nice eye contact, the open mouth, the right paw just about to move forward.....they all work fine. Ditto about the CCW rotation.
