Mushroom rendering

As so often with an image that didn't quite come up to what I had hoped I fooled around with filtering. And as so often happens my favorite filter gives me satisfaction. This is treated with a "crosshatch filter and lots of playing around with sharpness, grain and CH length.

I like this and welcome comments, negative if you have them, because I learn.

Thanks in advance.

Well Charlie, It works great here. Really interesting processing that I enjoy looking at. Sure makes me start thinking about fall again. I can hear the crunch of those leaves when taking a step. Some interesting and different textures you show here. :toast:

Great textures, I really like your processing. My only suggestion would be to darken or further blurr the bg to help the mushrooms stand out from it a bit more. A very nice grouping you've captured

A very nice image Charlie and thanks for sharing the larger image which show more of the results of the filtering.

I like the image. Especially the comp and color. The muted colors really appeal to me.
