Radiant

Taken from Fingal Head, New South Wales.

Not much on the cloud front that morning, but wonderful rich color and radiant light. Hope the color is not too over the top for some?

D80, Sigma 10-20 @10mm, f/11. A two exposure blend 1.6sec & 13sec.

Many thanks for your c&c.

Nice one David. The colours possibly a notch too much but Im loving the details in those foreground rocks.
delightful. The composition is really where this doesn't quite work so well for me the central nature of the rocks and the way they break the horizon line sort of breaks the visual flow a bit for me.
Well done with the exposure and blending

I've been wanting to photograph this location for a long while. This is one of the best of the many images I've seen from Fingal. The colours a little over the top for my personal tastes but I wouldn't say it definitely is over-processed either.

Unusual composition makes for an overall pleasing landscape image. A tad too saturated, especially the blue hue in the foreground and ocean.

Wonderful rich saturation David. Nice comp with the island in the distance well seperated and the rising sunbeams look great.

The graduated colors in the sky are spectacular. I also like the foreground rocks in front and on the right. I find the section leading to the center to be distracting. I'd really like to see more of that lovely sky, possibly with some reflection in the water.

Nice progression in your comp, the dawn and sea colors are great, and the rocks very interesting. Well done.

Very nice David. I really enjoy this view you gave us. Beautiful color and light. I really like the foreground rocks and also the island in the background. It makes nice balance in this comp. Well done!

The columnar jointing in the basalt really makes for an interesting foreground and I like the placement of the mid ground rocks, too. Nicely done.

Those are some interesting rocks. The colors feel a bit saturated, particularily the blues, but not bad. I like the comp, it's different, but in a good way. The island is a nice touch.

A very nice photograph David. It made me search Fingal Head on Google maps. I feel that your image could be a bit lighter.
At least that's what my monitor is telling me.

Fantastic composition to showcase this unique landscape. The color is a little strong but it does give this a nice graphic feel. I might suggest to make the water less bright, without affecting the other areas. Beautiful photograph!

Very nice warm, radiant light for sure David. The comp works very nicely for me as well.

As for the saturation, I would turn it down a bit myself. Not way over the top, but a bit too much I think. Other than that, very strong image!

The sky is simply spectacular, David, and I like the rock details on the right side as well as the water colors. The large middle rock is unusual and adds fascination to the image. Very well done.
