Coneflower (Plus 1)

A simple composition of the Coneflower - interesting compositions possible with this flower.

ND200, AFD 200mm F/4 Micronikkor, F/11, 1/40 Secs, ISO200, Tripod and filtered light from the tree above. The center of this flower is always dark even with some reflected light, so I created a layer mask and did a bit of dodging to bring out the details.

Thanks a lot for your comments on the Waterlily and do let me know what you think of this one.

Very well done Ram. Perfect job on the processing and I really like how the colour in the ULC mirrors the coneflower. Excellent.

Ram:
Simplicity is an art-form and you are a master at this. Like the comp, lighting and pp. The center looks great. :toast:

Love the colours and perspective -

Excellent choice of dof and pof and the color wash in the background repeats the dominant color so well. Rivetting.

I love how beautiful and appealing the composition is with this image. Very well thought out and executed with a great DOF choice. The detail of the flower is supported soooooooo nicely, by that pastel colored OOF BG. Very well done Ram!

Simple, subtle, yet bold. Can't hope for better than that.

Ram, more representational than your typical perspective but I like it as much...the cropping provides the unusual perspective, the color is great as is the comp...very nice and different

Wonderful comp and DOF! I have a coneflower garden in my front yard and you have inspired me to dust off the macro lens and have at it! Excellent work!
