On Sunday I stepped out to my backyard and I saw the full blossomed almond tree on my next door neighbor's backyard attracted lots of hard working bees. I thought "I gotta get the camera and try some shots. Well as usual, I couldn't get the shot I thought of. But I got this one.
Cropped to about 75%.
Canon 40D, 100mm Macro. Handheld.

I appreciate you C&C's.

Welcome to the Flora gallery Mohamed! :wavey:

This is a very nice first image. You capture the detail and color very well and did a great job with the light. I frequently struggle getting whites just right and you did that quite well. I also like your composition here. My only suggestion would be to add a very slight amount of more room on the left. That's a very minor nit though.

Very nice capture! :toast:

That a beautiful flower. I like all of the details in the main bloom. The green sepals are a great addition to the overall color scheme.

Mohammad,

I don't recall commenting on one of your images before, so welcome to the Flora Gallery. This is a beautiful introductory image. I like the composition and the whites are very appealing. I might selectively sharpen the anthers and center of the subject bloom but it's also fine as posted. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Mohammed, I love the subtle pink hints in the whites which are well exposed with petal details intact. Reminds me of Rose Milkshake. The smaller bloom in the lower right strengthens the composition.

A bit more space on the left is all that I ask for here :toast:

Mohammad:
Beautiful bloom, nicely exposed esp the white. The green in the sepal is refreshing. Good composition.

The image can benefit from another round of sharpening to get the anthers a little sharper. If possible try to leave a narrow margin along the left edge so that the petal is not touching.

Mohammad: Welcome to the finest Flora gallery on the planet and thanks for a fine first post. Wonderful subject, comp and exposure. The mild softness of the anthers is the only thing that keeps this from being perfect. I tried a little sharpening experiment with the image and it didn't make a lot of difference so the slight blur must be in the capture. Hand holding a 100mm macro at this magnification can be tough but you certainly have good vision to see and compose this well. Great to have you aboard and looking forward to more.>=))>
