One of a handful of mountain goats I was fortunate to observe last weekend on Willard Peak here in northern Utah...

Quite unusual, but it seems to work here, John. I like the way the diagonal made by the goat's back divides the frame into 3 parts, with the partly hidden face in the middle 1/3, and the bg in the upper and left 1/3. :toast:

Nice curves! I do wonder how this would have come out if the curve of the back would have been complete (i,.e. not intersected by the right frame edge). Perfectly exposed and you have a nice smooth BG, which is quite essential here.

John - CLASSIC IMAGE!! Love it! The graceful line of the goat's neck to the (seemingly) intense stare combined with the superb sharpness, detail and texture is intoxicating. Great comp, IMO. I guess it's a bit noisy, but the fur, horns and wonderful character of the eye more than compensate. Great stuff.
