WC 494 - Marsh Grass

I took this this afternoon while storm chasing. A severe thunderstorm was raging just a few miles north, which is what is causing the dark sky. Bright sunlight kept coming through the light clouds above me, lighting up the foreground grass. This was taken on Nature Conservancy land at Cheyenne Bottoms, central KS. I tried for a few blur shots also, but there wasn't enough wind to overcome the mid-day light, so I settled for this sharper version. The white birds in the back puddle are American Pelicans and a Great Egret. 7D, ISO 200, f/11, 1/250, small crop

The challenge was for green and you've got a nice, lush field of it. I find the distant pond interesting here, Rob.

The unusual composition is appealing - but there's a lot of empty space here. I love your idea for a blurred foreground - too bad that didn't work out!
