This tree was one of the first to turn this autumn back in '09. I liked it's early commitment to fall.
Comments and critiques always welcome, and thanks for looking,
Morris

Hey Morris, was this a light painting exercise? Really brings out and isolates the Aspen leaves.

Thanks John and Bob!
No, Bob, it was just mostly in shadow and I accentuated that with a vignette and burning.

Nice Morris. Looks like one I might try around the campfire. I really like the way you managed the sharp contrasts here.

Sometimes a single tree is much more evocative than an entire grove. Nicely done Morris.

Simple but elegant, Morris. The leaves glow and stand out against the
dark background.

Strong composition Morris but it's the mood of it that appeals most to me. I like the tree aspen but also the space and the darkness.

I'm amazed at the spot light effect that you've got here. It's perfect for that tree.

Morris, I clearly remember to have seen this tree from one of your photos earlier . Love how the yellows break all the medium and dark tones. Very lovely.

Hi Morris I like how you isolated the light on the aspen leaves. It almost looks like a spotlight was part of your equiptment. Excellent composition and mood
