A nice inquisitive pose by this guy, and the technicals look good. A very nice look at this guy!!

2 things I'd maybe have tried...first, if possible, if you would have moved a step to the left, you might have been able to not have the strong vertical OOF feature in the background. Or not! Not sure what your situation was. Also, I'd probably run a noise filter on the background.

Great head turn; I agree with Terry about the vertical pole and the background noise.

Peter,

I like the head turn of the Eastern Bluebird and the alert posture of the body. I agree with Terry, I would have tried moving left to eliminate the OOF vertical element in the background. I'd also work on background noise

Hi Peter,
You've gotten some good advice already here. I'd add that you will also get a lot out of commenting on other photographers shots. We recommend commenting on 5 shots or more each shot that you post. :wavey:

Hi
Thank you for the comments. I agree with you about the pole, but this bird just would stay still. May he is more of a Le Mans car bird? I do not know how to run a noise filter on just the back ground.

Peter;
Although there are varied opinions on what you could have done ..I have one comment about the photo..are you satisified with your effort...
I am of the opinion that wildlife does not live in an edited world..you take the shot when you can get it...
Very nice photo and thanks for sharaing
