Great theme idea. This was just a shot I took fooling around one day. Someone once told me that "back in the day" They were instructed that if they were in a pinch they could use sunglasses as a filter. Here, I did just that. My sunglasses weren't tinted red, it just threw the meter off and I ended up with this sky.

Canon XT, 1/160sec, f/9, ISO 100.

Thanks for looking and all C&C welcomed.

I like this a lot John. Beautiful mood and I like the silhouette of the silo? in the bg as well. I might crop up from the bottom through half of the black or so in order to better emphasize the tree. And I suppose that if I were being completely obsessive, I'd clone out the con trail. Although it also adds interest for me.

John:
This is a really beautiful image. Good sunglasses (you must have a pretty large one to cover the lens) effect and wonderful silhouette! Top notch :toast:

"Hot" shot John. like the effect very much. I also would consider a crop from the bottom.

I would echo Pat's crop suggestion. Great improvising!

That's terrific shot for improvised equipment. I guess it pays to fool your meter. I like including the rooftop in the silhouette, it adds a sense of place. Agree with the others about a bottom crop.
