That kind of loss hurts. You will wonder for a long time what great shots were on that card.

Great detail especially how you held it in the black areas. Your cloning was excellent also.

Unfortunate loss of your full CF card Angela that has go to hurt. This is a wonderful image. The detail, all the way down to the tail feathers in remarkable. Love the colors and the pose of the bird.

A Rio Grande specialty. Nice detail/sharpness and exposure. Too bad about the loss.

Really nice detail in this one. You did a great job with the exposure. I like the pose as well.

That REALLY stinks about the card! I have nightmares about things like that!

I like the peek-a-boo effect from behind the tree trunk. Good techs, color looks spot on. Tough about the lost card, especially shot in prime light. Best thing to do is forget all about it. That's what had the pleasure of doing once.

Well done Angela. The blacks and yellows both look good and I like the good eye contact and the one claw poking out behind the branch. Interesting background too. You sure get a lot of shots on an 8 gig card...

Very nice peek-a-boo shot, Angela. Wonderful detail and the darker bg helps the bird stand out even more. Sorry about losing the card.......maybe it will magically appear sometime......

I love this image Angela. I've never seen this species and you've presented him beautifully. Great job exposing the contrasty yellow and blacks, and the detail is tack sharp. I'd love to see one in the wild, must have been quite a thrill. Bummer about the CF card.

Excellent light, colors, exposure, and sharp details Angela.
Even the BG seems to really fit this bird nicely, great comp.
Please send a few of these beauties up here?
Although with the drought, they might have a tough time of it.
I can't tell you how many times the same thing has happen to me..
Like grandma used to say, "If my head wasn't attached I'd lose it"

Lovely pose, eye contact, detail & sharpness Angela. I like the comp you used. Too bad about losing the CF card. I wear shirts that have zippered pockets, I keep the unused cards on the left and as soon as I remove a full one it goes into the pocket on the right. The zippers make it less likely I'll lose the card.
