John:
Good eye to spot this. The grass provides a nice leading line to the flower and I like how it blurs into the bg. Very interesting comp.

Really fine composition for my tastes John. Plane of focus control and dof make the image I think. You've done a great job of isolating the subject flower and the grass. The detail is excellent on both where they're in focus as well. I also like the mood. From a purely subjective standpoint, I might crop down from the top and over from the left preserving the aspect ratio about half way to the flowers just inside the frame. It would be less subtle in terms of throwing the subject bloom and grass in the viewer's face and I'm not the most subtle person around. (smile) It's an alternative though and not a suggestion. This is very fine photography as posted.

That really works! Great swooping line from the grass adds tons of interest.
