The first post from my most recent trip - Thanks Vincent for showing me a great time in Botswana.
This was one of many elephant encounters, of which the best occured in the last two evenings at Chobe river. We more or less got stranded in the middle of the heard on both nights and literally had to race back (after they let us go) to the park gates in order to get out on time.

Serene. Nice comp of a fine, quiet evening. I like that all the land objects are in silhouette!

a wall hanger for sure - I like the separation between the elephant and the horizon to allow some color to sneak in there and the colors are beautiful and natural looking.

Great mood and feeling with this one.
Namibia looks a long way away, I have never seen so much water in the river.

Great silhouette n beautiful colors !!!
Ideally, I would have preferred some more seperation between the Ele & the BG.

Arresting colors and silhouette. I agree with Jagdeep that is would have been better with a sliver of space between the top of the hips and the distant trees. Still, I think you placement of elephant and horizon is just right and this will look good on the wall!

Thanks for your comments.

It was a lot of water, unusually much as I've understood it. I think it hampered our game viewing in some areas but here it was just beautiful. As you say a little bit of free water all around the back of the elephant would have been better.
