Rose Abstract-2

Follow-up on the Rose Abstracts - First one here. Not quite as clean as the previous one but I do like that "V" moving in a curved fashion. Wish the small yellow blob at the start of the V was not there but sometimes its tough to see it with the tired eyes and hand holding at high magnifications or sometimes avoid it even if I get to know it.

ND200, 50mm F/1.8 with 56mm of Tubes @ F/4, 1/160 Sec, ISO200, Diffuser and Handheld.

Thanks a lot for the comments/critiques/suggestions on Egg Whites and do let me know what you think of this one.

Ram, I had not seen the first one until now and it is beautiful. I find this image to be very sensual. The flowing curves are wonderful and for me it has a more powerful impact that the first one.

Ram,

I also prefer this to the first, even with the blob. I wouldn't hesitate for a second to go after it with the clone tool or crop/clone but it doesn't bother me that much as is. This is a very fine image for my tastes.

You are in a class of your own when it comes to SOA! You are also your own best critique! The yellow blob is not a deal breaker. Wish the lighting in the left and LUC is a tad brighter. Like it as posted and good enough to be hang on any wall (especially my lounge)

Sensual it is, I think too. I agree with Pat that the blob you mention is not in keeping with all other lines and curves and might be improved with a little work. You image is a very pleasing area of this flower.

A beautiful compliment to the first. The yellow rounded area is not an issue for me at all. The color, light and lines are make this a gorgeous abstract. :toast:

This is my favorite of the two as well, because the lines make the comp work nicely. The colors look amazing. Nicely done!

As always, love your work Ram. I had a set of extension tubes and a 1.8 50mm last year but somebody decided they wanted it more when my house was broke into. Anyway I really like your abstract flowers. To me its the best way to show off a flower is by abstract. Its different then your everyday flower picture.

Wow, Ram, you are definitely an abstract guru! You make such simple pictures that have so much power in them. Those tired eyes you speak of sure have the gift to find beauty in simple lines. I think this looks wonderful, blob and all.

Hi Ram :wavey: Moving the thumbnail, till the blob disappears took something away from the shot. the blob merges beautifully with the soft lines of the LLC orange pink. large blob. Love the colorful flowing lines of this fine abstract comp.

Ram, for an abstract, this comes close to crossing the line from sensuous to sensual. Which ever way you view it, it has undeniable beauty. I have mixed feelings about "the blob." Situated at the convergence of the soft curves, it does seem to be somewhat out of place, but since this is an abstract image, it can be viewed as something surprizing to think about.

Ram: Most excellent. I like the energy in this one and the fact that its still not obviously a rose. Wonderful vision and image. >=))>

As ever, a superb composition, Ram, with colouring reminiscent of the Venetian painters. I would choose the first if I had to - for its subtleties of depth - but I'm glad I don't have to !!

This is really difficult Ram, to decide which is more beautiful between this photo and the previous post. They are both splendid!
Take care.

I like it. It works. I'm assuming that you are bothered by the "blob" being fuzzy. Don't be. If anything I would be concerned over the abrupt line on the orange/red sweeping curve from bottom center to top right. Try taking the blur tool (10% or so) and soften the transition from orange to red, also soften the grainy texture above it. Let softness reign.
