I love these Kestrel. Nice low angle and eye contact.

Verdon, always nice to get close to one of these guys. I like the setting and your DOF and the head-on look works well for me in this case. If you'd post your techs, critique could be much more effective. To me the kestrel looks oversaturated, particularly the blues.

Lovely light, nice pose and good sharpness. I don't see that many kestrels, but I've never seen one with quite this much blue. I agree that knowledge of techs would make it easier to evaluate the image.

Thank you very much my friends for your comments, yes you are absolutely right, it looks to blue, but compare the original it isn't huge different ...... The problem could be in the settings in camera (but from other day it looks just fine without any major changing ...),the part of body is in the shade . It was taken in winter around 9-10 AM, in sunny and very cold day with temperature 20-25 F ..... Thank you for your interest, Verdon! :wavey:

Excellent low point of view here. A little work on the saturation and this will be a top notch image anyone would love to have.

Focus looks great, Verdon and I like the pose and low angle. It looks to me like there might be a slight color cast.

Nice close look at htis kestrel...I do agree with Ron about the techs...pretty hard to critique a shot without knowing them.

Sweet kestrel photo Verdon  Great eye contact, and I really like the pastel look of this image.

Wonderful head on look of the Kestrel and I like the ground view setting. Good feather detail for this smaller sized image and other critiques already mentioned, really nice image showing a different view, way to go.
