A vast expanse of pinnacles get painted by a passing storm. The rain brings forth beautiful colors in the surrounding strata. These formidable redoubts strike a fine balance between decay and creation. A land where wind and water sculpt this ever changing landscape.

The many layers and beautiful color are very enjoyable Anthony. This looks like a spectacular place. I usually don't like verticals but it works well here especially the layers of earth tones, blues and greens which are just wonderful.

Hey Anthony! This is beautiful. I think your comp is really interesting here. The colors are wonderful all the way through, and I love the sky and blue tones in the background. Fantastic shot! I want to get out there again. It has been a long while and this really gets me excited about it.

Very well produced image. Sharpening is spot on! I love verticals and think this is a very nice image. Love the layers. On a calibrated monitor and in FIREFOX it looks like it might be able to take a slight boost in reds (maybe).

This is beautiful, Anthony. The composition and lighting are top notch. I like the subtle diffused lighting which really helps bring out all of the fantastic color and detail in the geographic layers. I also like the compositional layers from foreground to background. This is an exceptionally strong image in my opinion. Great work!! :toast:

Thanks everyone.

@ Eva- Hopefully share some horiz. as well. Took many shots in the midst of on and off heavy rains.

@ Nick- Hopefully heading back this fall. Probably cooler as well- camping in mind that is.

@ Thanks Mark. Can't vouch for my calibration at the moment ( I know shame on me)

Update version slight punch of reds.

Nice moody catch, Anthony, i like this a lot! I think in some respects a crop of the bottom, so theres not green counteracting the blue, might even be stronger, but i dont think the bottom hurts this any and it does add another layer... :wavey:

What a totally cool landscape. The light on the far cliffs really make this image work. - Maybe just my screen, but I could also see the FG being just a hair and a half lighter.

Beautiful colors and an awesome landscape. The light on the distant mountains really draws me into the scene. Geologic processes at their best. :toast:

Well captured and produced scene, Anthony. Wonderful balance of light to show of the textures and colors. Really like that subliminally brighter ridge in the distance. Though I don't think it would have occurred to me, the second version with more red is a bit better, I think.

Very interesting combination of elements here, Anthony. The trees down below and the ominous sky above create a nice balance and help showcase very well the rugged landscape. Always a pleasure in seeing your beautiful works!

Well, you need to turn that wonderful eye you have to landscapes more often as you excel in the more intimate views ordinarily. Love your processing here. Everything about this is superbly done, from comp to color to light. :toast:

Stellar processing Anthony. I certainly enjoy the colors, especially the blues and greens. I can't say I am crazy about the immediate foreground - the colors of the rock are so uniform and a bit bland. Overall, I really like the scene and you did a great job with this subject matter.

Anthony - this is such a gorgeous image and shows how what many see as a "boring" place can produce outstanding images. The pops of green and the layers add so much interest and depth. I really love this (the re-post, especially).
