Side Lit Maple

This is more what I saw with my mind than what I saw with my eyes. On a quick after work hike with my wife I saw the light on leaves and thought it looked cool. I stopped to grab a quick shot with my long lens, then continued on. I really liked wow the light was making the leaves glow and processed the image to highlight that effect.

Thanks for comments and suggestions.

I like the contrast, even if there's no information on the blacks. Nice choice to make the light pop even more.
Very well done.

One of those wonderful shots that seems to be more about light than the subject itself.

I like the lighting very much, and the contrasting darks which make it pop and give it depth. Best way to take photos, is to see the image as you have done. Keep looking!

You did a great job of seeing this, capturing it and processing it to convey what you saw. I like it.

This is super, Dean. The shadows are full of interest by still sort of frame the main element in the scene. I think this is really well done.

Great light Dean. I like how those maple leaves seem to glow and jump right out against the dark bg.

I love this one Dean. It's not apparent from the thumbnail, but as good as the light on the tree is I think I love the deep dark secrets of the background just as much.
