Tiger Lily

by Patricia Brundage

The yellow bush behind this tiger lily caught my attention for this photograph. I was able to isolate the bloom and center it in the yellow glow. Taken with Canon 7D, using 100-400 IS lens, handheld.

Very nice Patricia and your background does a great job of framing you subject flower.

Great job on the pov Pat. Possibly the most interesting tiger lily image I've ever seen. I'm pretty sure it's your comp and bg. I can't look at this without thinking "Martian". I like it a lot.

Pat:
Beautiful image. The lily is nicely supported by the glow in the bg. I also like the inclusion of a leaf on the stem.

I too love that background, Patricia. Perfect compliment to the subject's colors. Also love how the TL petals are curled up and the stamens curled out :toast: . You are on a roll

Beautiful!! The yellow and green works well behind the flower.

My wife and daughter hiked to Hamilton Mountain with me yesterday, and on the way we were admiring the tiger lily along the trail.

Patricia: Sorry to be so late to this party. This is wonderful and one of the best shots of these blooms I've seen in some time. Marvelous BG and color palette. 2 thumbs up! >=))>
