This is a plant sold widely in our area, but for the life of me I can't think of its name. So any ID help would be appreciated. Taken with Canon 7D using 100-400 IS lens with 500D diopter for magnification.

Thanks to Bill I now have and ID... Agapanthus or Nile Lily.

Patricia: This is an agapanthus or Nile Lily. Now that we have the ID issue settled I've had some time to reset my

-meter. Great DOF management to keep all the details in the bud sheath and buds and then to render this sublime BG. This is one of your best of this year in my book. 2+ thumbs up! >=))>

Patricia, I too think that the Agapanthus is at its best when it begins to spread all its buds.. A beautiful, pyrotechnical background.
