I climbed Mt Hood last week (11,240 feet) and came away with a few nice images (see my gallery for others). This is an image of the Cascade Range looking south from the summit of Mt Hood. The first peak in the distance is Mt Jefferson, which is located ~48 miles south of Mt Hood. Behind Jefferson are the Three Sisters and Broken Top.

All C&C are appreciated. What do you think of the comp? Is it balanced enough? I wanted to include the circular area of fog at the bottom of the frame and all of the mountains. Please view large.

Looks fantastic ! The circle of clouds is the show stealer here. The whites on Mt Jefferson appear a little hot though. You were rewarded well for taking more than one lens up that mountain

On a side note i can see evidence of what looks like clear cutting :frown:

Scott, I think this works really good! Very sweet image too!

To be ultra critical I think your left bottom corner could be a very small tad too heavy in darkness and then Mt Jefferson looks blown out. I know the Mt should be white, but it just looks like it lost a little detail there.

Again this is being ultra critical for feedback sake. The image it sweet!

Impressive view. Almost abstract rally. Feels aerial.

Almost an abstract. Very effective. My only nit is I'd crop the top half of the sky.

Interesting. If you had described this shot, without my seeing it, I think I would have been looking forward to seeing those mountains. Actually looking at the shot though, I think I like it best with them cropped off. I have to agree that the foreground, especially the circle of clouds, is too cool.
