Ram: I like both shots but the BG on the second is so nice that I think it makes the image more interesting and compelling. Another small plus element for me on the second is the plane of focus management that has all the little hairs on the stem sharp along with the center. 2 thumbs up on the first but added toes on the second. >=))>

WOW hard choice  both have great quality. I think I might like the first for the in-your-face abstract, and the second for being detailed but formally soft. No decision, both are wonderful.

Now Ram this is not fair. You simply cannot present two stunners and ask that a choice be made! I love them both. So there! :wavey:

I vote for #1. I think having the petals cut off adds more emphasis to the already sharp anthers. It also creates a sense that the flower is about to fly away. I also like all of the sharp hairs on the vertical sepal.

Tough call Ram. I prefer the first because I like the simple green bg and I think the tighter crop has more impact - at least for me. I'd put either on my wall though. Beautiful work.

Two very nice images, Ram. I like them both. I like the BG in the second, but the more close view in the first. Do you have anything in between, or have you considered cropping a little off the bottom and left in the second to tighten the crop? Nice work any way you go.

Ram:
Both wonderful.
I like the second slightly more for the reasons Bill said. The pink blush in the bg and the cilia on the stem tip this slightly ahead of the more abstract image. :toast:

I love these kinds of questions! Two stellar images and the question of preference. It really gives one a chance to think about why.

After many times back and forth I would choose the first image because for whatever reason it holds my attention the longest. Beautiful work. :toast:

Ram I prefere the second image. The first one is a bit tight in the frame, not my taste. marvelous DOF (both images). Well done. :toast:

I like them both Ram, but number two is my favorite. I like the hairs on the stem and the BG of the second one. Excellent work!

Ram, the softness together with the transparency is really splendid. The contrast of the colors is beautiful too.
Take care.
