I sat on this iamage for quite a while because i shot so many frames with different angles and dof. I finally decided on one and I hope I picked the right one. This was one of the last frames I shot and the light had changed quite alot giving me some backlight as well.I really miss working with this lens as it was so easy to HH. It doesn't fit my new body.
Canon 7D
60mm 2.8 lens
Iso 320 f7.1 @ 1/200 HH

Very very nice, Cheryl  - my theory is that anyone who knows how to shoot Orchids should be pretty darn good at shooting any kind of florals. Shapes, Light and Shadow and subtle colors all come together here for a great effect.

Really like the perspective here - different and very effective.
Very sharp and great colours -
the blue BG on the left side needs a little work, imo - some NR or mild blurring to smoothe it and get rid of the white flecks. The blue-gray BG on the other side of that petal is just perfect.

Cheryl:
Very nicely done - like whiskers or forked tongue of a serpent. Like this a lot.

Thanks all. Sandy you are right thanks for pointing it out. It's not noise but the actual petal texture and i didn't really notice it is quite distracting.
