I found this little guy as I was riding bike. He was sliding down a bank by the roadside. I stopped, got off the bike and proceded to get about 5 pictures as it wondered what to do. Finally he hopped away.

Tech specs: canon 7D, Tamron 18-250@ 180mm f8, 1/125 sec, -2/3 stop. Handheld, no filters

C&C appreciated

A quick shot as it ran away. I actually like this shot best, the blur adds to the motion.

I like the first one best, it really shows off the spots and fawn's alertness. Wonder why its rear end is all wet? Good job in the capture.

Mark, the fawn is wet from sliding down the bank. It wasn't on its feet and at the bottom of the bank was a wet culvert where it got stopped. This little one wasn't more than 2 months old by its size.

Lucky! I've been trying to get a good fawn shot for a few weeks now before they get too big but have yet to be successful! Good capture although I do wish the fawn's legs weren't cut off at the bottom of the frame... Oh well, still a great capture, and I'm jealous!

Nicely framed by the leaves. The color temp seems a bit cool on my iMac. I might toy with reducing the brightness a little to see how that might look as well. What a cute face!

Hi Neven,

The leaves present a nice natural frame here. Young animals have such an appeal, and this one is no exception. I think Gary's comments seem spot on to me and you can ditto me on them!

Cheers...
