Inverness Beach, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia on another moody, cold, windy, stormy, evening in early October 2009.

Canon 5DM2
Canon 24-70mm f/2.8L at 70mm
ISO50 1/15sec f/16

Thanks for looking and for any comments and critiques.

Edit: Decided to change the tile....

Thats a nice storm coming in! I like the way you've captured it here, especially with the lone little island lying right in front of the storm. Lovely sea scene! :wavey:

Wow Eva, the detail in the larger version is wonderful. Love the cloud bank and the light hitting the island, nice work.

Eva, I realized the centered horizon only lately. You show us equally interesting textues in the upper and lower half, which balance each other without distracting from one another. This way the unusual composition really works for me! Furthermore I enjoy the natural colors as well as the tangible details in the foreground.

Nice drama in the water. For my tastes, a little change in comp would make it more dramatic - lowering the view to include more beach and cutting out the blue of the sky. Just my preference, of course - I realize it's all subjective.

Very nice Eva. I like the light and color in this. The storm clouds look awesome. Although I like it as it is I think Bills idea on the comp though would also work very nice. Cool shot that I enjoy very much.

Eva,

This somehow seems different from you - yet not. Maybe it's the color and time of day I'm used to. Regardless, I'm liking this one. And the centered horizon seems to work well here. I like the inclusion of the blue sky as it adds a calm to the otherwise stormy and more dramatic storm and sea. No nits or suggestions.

I love the layers of different textures in this image. And the light on the storm clouds is excellent
