Moving on from Bryce Canyon to Zion National Park. This image was taken Not far outside of La Verkin, UT heading for the West entrance to Zion. I really like the combination of the openness, color and sky. I appreciate any comments and suggestions.

Sigma 17-70
Aperture Priority
Shutter 1/20
Aperture f22
ISO 100
19mm
Tripod

Love it! This just screams clean, fresh air. The blue sky and bright puffy clouds contrast nicely with the red earth.

The photo looks great but why f22? It looks like a larger aperture would have worked just fine for this comp.

Great setting for a western film. I hear the horses! The land of the big sky! Effective work Richard!

Boy, this really says...Land Of The Big Sky! Nice work Richard. Great feel here.

Now I see Dietrich had the same thought. I didn't see that before.

I like the dreamy, lay down and take a nap feel. Middle of the day shots are hard to pull off, but puffy white clouds help!

Nice sky! I like the shot for the same reasons you describe.

Beautiful sky: wide, blue, summer cloud lazy. It really steals the show in this image. Nice job

Great big white puffies to go with big wide open spaces. This might work nicely as a B&W, too. The clouds will jump out of the image.
