A Bridge to Dreams

Spent a little over a week in the Smokies last fall and we took one day to head over to the North Carolina side from Cades Cove. It was a great day! On the way back to Tennessee, the mists came in just as we drove past this bridge so I had to jump out and get a couple shots before the light faded completely.

Canon 5D Mark II, 70-200mm @ 80mm, 8 sec. @ f/22, ISO 200, polarizer, tripod

Phillip: I think this is just fantastic. The soft light, the small amount of mist, the choice of shutter speed all work very well. Nicely captured.

I really like this shot. The ethereal feel of the fog and the strong curve of the river make this image very compelling. I also like the contrast of the colorful leaves with the greys of the bridge and river. Excellent image. Thanks for sharing!

Exceptional image! The mist over the wonderful leaves and water is just magical, and the bridge adds a lot.

Spectacular. My only nit would be the bridge is a little hidden, that that could also be a positive to some.
