Dear All
Made this in Kaziranga National Park. Kazi is great success story of conservation. From handful rhinos to now nearly 2500 rhinos. We were lucky to see atleast 50+ individuals in 4 days

D300 , 200-400/F4 at F4 , ISO 400 , 340MM , 1/200
All C & C are mot welcome
Harshad

Harshad,

SNAP, what a great sighting indeed such an expressive face. I am sure that 50 is an understatement

they look so ancient...lovely pose, soft light and techs here
were you using the D300 for some extra reach here, as opposed to the D3?

Magnificent beast, and well rendered, Harshad.
The mouth on these animals look almost comical, as though it were smiling, but I'm sure that confronting one of these guys would be no laughing matter.

Wow, what a beast! What strikes me is that the head is so small in comparison to the body (compared again to the African Rhino's that is  ) A solid image and great to hear a success story for a change.

Great shot Harshad,
I like the misty, diffused look of the BG. THe pose really shows off the armor plating of these animals and the green of the grass is a nice color contrast with the rhino.

50+ individuals in 4 days, WOW!?!?! I seriously doubt such a thing would be possible in any one national park in Africa :^.

Excellent shot Harshad :^) I really like the way the folds of their skin overlap each other, making them appear closer to Stegosauruses from prehistoric times than anything we'd readily think of walking our planet today. Thanks for sharing :^)

So different to african rhino. And so wonderful, like they are forever on earth, not changed in thousands of years. It is also such great pose.
