Sleepy Gator

This one just hung in the pool with its eyelids dropping a bit. Not more than 2 feet away the scene featured hundreds of other gators. The water in the Glades canal system is almost non existent right now, and this pool attracted those lucky enough to find it.

Another fine shot of these Gators Wayne :^) Reminds me of a similar image I captured of a young Bornean Saltwater Croc in the Sabah last year; have to post that one up for you one of there days, I think you might appreciate it ;^)

By the way, seeing as Vincent recently dubbed me the "Monkey Man", I guess you'd be considered our resident Gator Guy ;^p

Looking forward to seeing more as and when :^)

A solid gator portrait Wayne. The catch-light helps a lot and the pano crop suits the elongated shape of the head.
With so many gators in one little pool there must be some action going on! Very sad though of course that the situation is like that.... :frown:

Actually, Vincent, there wasn't much action at the pool. No fishing, and I suppose that was because the fish had all been consummed before I found the place. There wasn't much reason for squabbles, I guess.

Nice texture on the skin and I like the reflection in the eye. Judging by the rings of the raindrop(?) it seems to need just a tiny touch of CW adjustment.
