Fairy Floss
by David Edwards
An array of soft dawn color erupts over Burleigh Heads on the Gold Coast, Queensland.
Reminded me of cotton candy (we call it fairy floss over here).
Thanks for any c&c!
Dave.

16 commentsThe fg rocks are wonderful. The higher rocks lead us right into the wonderful cloud lines. The splashing surf is a big bonus. And the dawn colors are sweet.
Beautiful photo.

What a beautiful pastel sky and seascape. I too like the softness in the ocean and the wave line really provides a great element to the scene. I'm wondering if you spent any more time utilizing those boulders more? I really like the color reflecting off the rounded boulders and would love to have more of them included. You're comp works well as presented, I just see more! The sky, what's to improve there? just beautiful. Nice capture David.
Fairy Floss eh mate?

*Lon - I've got quite a few shots from this location to process, so yes, there will be more rocks
*Mike - I've slowly started to incorporate TK's masks into my processing. I guess you mean to reduce the brightness of the mids a smidge.. perhaps with the narrow or basic mids mask? Thank-you.
