Stumbled upon this amazing lichen display while on a journey in the backcountry of N.E. Arizona a couple of days ago.
Web compression doesn't do this scene justice at all.
Any suggestions greatly appreciated!

John,
This is an INCREDIBLE display of Lichen- what colors! The layering, saturation, crop and detail in the textures are incredible. As for any suggestions, I turned my head and looked at it rotated 90 degrees CCW and I like it that way too- not a suggestion as much as another option for presentation. Very cool!

What a great find John! I like your choice of composition with the blank area that counterbalances the craziness in the opposite corner. I bet this image looks terrific at full res.

Exquisite, John. Have seen a lot of lichen but this is by far the most amazing array of color I have ever seen; and perfectly composed and presented. Absolutely stunning image. This old guy is in quiet awe. Phenomenal work.

Fabulous abstract. I like how you kept the ulc clean with the streaks of lichens leading to the burst of color on the right.

John,
Well seen sometimes we don't notice the image opportunities right at our feet, in search the the wow! photo. With the amazing splash of color and what looks like a laser beam shooting across the dark area, this has plenty of wow for me.

I love color, and detail. This is fantastic in both respects. A beautiful array of colors and textures here. I think it also looks like oxidized/corroded metal. Cool!

Wow, those are some wonderfully colorful and diverse lichens! I'm not sold of on the bare rock in the upper left.. did you get any where the frame is completely filled by the dense lichens?

John,
Great title and wow, what a display of color! I like that you kept the deep, red/maroon color and that space - like "space" - you know, the final frontier.... Excellent abstract of nature.

Amazing mix of colors and textures, and it's alive! Pretty amazing. My only suggestion might be to crop off a small portion of the deep maroon on the left. Not sure if you would be crazy about a square image. Must be printed large to apprecite this, I'm sure.
