Designs of Winter

This was taken in Monument Valley in January of 2010. I just re-worked the file today for a client and wanted to post on here before I print.
Initially I was attracted to the snow patterns in the red rock. I've included a large version so you can see the scene better.
Suggestions, comments, and critiques all greatly appreciated.

Michael

I like the sharp detail and clarity, particularly noticeable in the larger image. The detail is present throughout the image. The warm light is super. My initial impression (viewing this on my saturated Imac monitor) was that the color may be too warm, but the more I look at it, the more I think the color is probably right. The snow looks white. Overall, a beautiful and dramatic view of a winter sunrise in MV.

The patterns in the foreground sure work well. It should print very nicely.

Nice light patterns throughout. Snow always adds just a touch more grace to scenes from this place.
I especially like the original composition and how the lit butte on the left is nicely defined by the larger butte in shadow.
Very natural appearing and should make a fine print.

Very nice work. Like you, I enjoy the snow patterns on the rocks. It's a very enjoyable scene all around and, as others have said, feels very natural.

Excellent color, and the detail in the shadows is very natural. And the patterns of snow are quite interesting. Beautiful image.

Michael,

I can certainly see the attraction to the snow patterns - in fact, I think the snow makes this image stand on it's own as an image quite different than we normally see from MV. Beautiful light and great color throughout. A wonderful landscape. No nits or suggestions what so ever.
