All the bad weather is taking a hevay toll on the Tulips. Most are wilted and not in photogenic states. Found two that were just about OK .

ND200, Lensbaby with +10 Diopter and F/4 Aperture Disc, 1/125 Sec, ISO200 and handheld, slightly pointed upwards to make the cups more prominent than the stems.

Wish I could get both the stems in decent focus but failed. No excuses there .

Thank you for your comments on Lipstick Red and do let me know if this one appeals to you or not.

The focus on the stems doesn't bother me it seems to have a soft focus because of the lightness of the photo. I like it. It works!

Focus looks great to me, I think it adds to the mood... I love it, not much more to say!

Real charm to this, Ram. Beautiful colour combinations and first rate composition, as ever. Not too concerned myself about the stem focus question but maybe just miss your usual feel for texture. Lovely image !

This one works for me Ram, especially the glow from the bottom of the cups. Very nice results. The focus on the stems does not bother me.

This certainly appeals to me Ram. I love your pov decision. In my opinion it makes the image. I'm fine with the oof stem and to my mind, you could blur the sharp one also. This image isn't about stem detail. (smile) Striking image, your typical expert composition.

Ram:
Works nicely because of the softness and the yellow-green wash. Especially like the light in the cups. The point of focus is actually interest, sharp on one stem and the other cup. Beautiful composition.

Fabulous. Unique presentation and fantastic comp and color. :toast:

I hear you about the weather. Tulips here were mostly marred, but these are beautiful.

Wonderful original comp and light. The low POV and glowing background are just fantastic!
Focus concern? I don't see a problem.

A wonderful wispy image. The soft focus is an artistic choice here, I think, so the second stem isn't a deal breaker. Great color!

Ram: This was not an obvious LB shot which makes it all the better for me. I love the BG glow and the color palette especially. Really well done. >=))>

This is a beauty, Ram! Love the comp, the soft look, and the pastel colors. I have not yet tried a Lensbaby but I like the softness it gives. Maybe some day.
