Wow! For me, this is nature photography at it's most interesting. Naturally others are more inclined to other subjects, but Fabio your composition, flora and fauna, background, everything hits me squarely where I love it. :toast: :toast: :jump:

Really nice! The greens compliment each other well.
I believe this is a katydid, though.
I'd experiment with cloning out the white lines on the left and right. THey don't add anything, and pull my eye away from the critter.
Well-done!
Sandy

Fabio, this is gorgeous in subjects, details, composition, lighting. I do like the spider web strands, too.

Really cool Fabio. Is he eyballing that other little bug? Sorry but I agree with Sandy about the white line (antennae?) on the left. I really think it would improve the image alot without it as it is a great image especially with the diagonal line you created.

Fabio:
Gorgeous. :toast: :toast: :toast:

Nice placement and curve of the bud. Agree with Sandy and Cheryl about cloning out the web - more of a distraction to this very strong image. Looks more like a katydid than a grasshopper to me.

Wonderful varying shades of green in this picture, Fabio. Great comp and good focus on the critter. Lots to catch your interest in this simple picture; not sure about the spider webs. On one hand I like them and the other, maybe too many distractions. I agree this is probably a katydid. I had posted a picture of one of these on another forum and was corrected with my ID so now I know.

Many thanks for nice comments and for ID (I'm not expert at all on those critters)- I repost the shot with correct title and without the OOF lines- Ciao, Fabio

An excellent job Fabio, you make macro images that are so pleasing someone might actually buy em' and hang em'
I especially like the web strand running through, it adds great interest along with the second small insect..
A work of art in the book of Cheek, very well done! :toast:

Just so we're clear, I liked this image as posted. Taking out the OOF strand left side is a totally subjective call of course. I think sometimes we can go too far in our obsession, with what we deem to be perfection.
Just my two cents :wavey:

The gorgeous monotone color scheme is just wonderful. And that tiny yellow eyeball just draws me right in. Love it!
