A nice alert bird with a good pose and excellent eye contact. Color palette is wonderful with bold, saturated colors. I'm really impressed with the sharpness and detail in the feathers on this guy. Considering you put a 2x TC on and this is only 40% of the FF, the detail really held together. Well done!

Really nice - very fine detail, nice pose and bright engaged eye.
I always think they look a little moldy when growing in adult feathers - but I agree he'll be a beauty.
I'm very envious that you have them in your yard. Wish they'd keep moving west to California!

Great natural setting for your signature pin sharp images. This, Angela, is sharper and at least as spectacularly posed as all your others. It looks, from its feet, like this bird was faceing you directly just before turning for this nice side view. :wavey:

Angela,
This is sooooo sharp. And with a 2x converter as well. Very impressive. A small nit that you could do nothing about... The light green foliage that looks like it's going right through the bird and coming out the top of him (wondering if that could be cloned out) and maybe add just a little bit of canvas on the left side if you have it. Looks a little bit centered to me. Otherwise, what a stellar image Angela. He looks like he's going to grow up to be be a handsome devil. Nice capture!! :toast:

Yes, I tried to get rid of the light green foliage underneath him, but the more I did, the worse it looked.

I agree about the light green streak but it takes little away from a cracking shot.
Fantastic detail.

Angela, the detail in the large version is unbelievable. Really nice. My only nit is the unfortunate bright green leaf between the legs. Not a deal breaker though as this is a really great image.

Angela, this is excellent. The larger version is a treat to view. Very nice IQ - the detail couldn't be better.
