Baobab Morning

We headed out early one morning from the Savute Elephant Camp to get to this cluster of Baobabs in the Chobe National Park, Botswana for a sunrise shoot. This spot will surely become a favourite of my photographic workshops hosted in this area with Orient Express Botswana.

No clouds around, but hey, it's all about the trees in a place like this!

Blend of 3 images to tame the dynamic range. Used Tony's triple play method to enhance detail and contrast.

All critique appreciated!

Techs:
Canon 7D with 10-22mm USM
f16 @ ISO-100

Great composition of these wonderful trees. I think the blue sky backdrop adds to the image.

Cool trees. There's a lot of personality in them.

Those are some very cool trees Morkel..they have the appearance of dancers reaching into the sky. I do wish for some clouds though...giving the trees something to reach for...

Such interesting trees. No need for any clouds, this works just fine as is. Nice!

Great shot of these crazy trees. I like the framing of the two main trees.

Beautiful in every way, the subjects, the comp, the lighting, the processing.

Morkel - The angle you shot really enhances these trees. I think the lower section of the trees look a tad brighter than the upper portions, especially the middle ones. Maybe a slight blend in brightness in this area might make for a more natural feel? Otherwise, a fine shot.
