Mt Regal, Wrangells

Hi All :wavey:

This is my first post as member in this gallery.

Seen here is Mt Regal in alaska's wrangell mountains soaring at a little under 14000 feet. Shot from an aircraft. The tiny streak of blue in the foreground is the Nizina glacier. I wish it were more prominent :frown:. But i managed to get only one shot as the plane was banking left, seconds after taking off from the skolai pass airstrip.

I used the spot healing tool to remove reflections off the window and a bit of the wing tip. Full frame on the sides and a tiny crop from the top. The incline in the photo is how i remember it to be and so decided against leveling the pic.

Nikon D5000, 35 mm, f10, 1/1250, iso 400.

Thanks for looking :wavey:
Anand

I amazed at the detail from shooting through airplane glass. Good comp, also.

Great work! It is hard to imagine how expansive this area must be.

Huge expanse in this shot. Love the flow of the glacier through the image.

Fascinating image. The Nizina glacier must be coming off another mountain to the right, out of the frame? The glacier coming off Mt Regal is amazing.

It's a great comp & amazing capture from an airplane. I'd be tempted to jack up the contrast a bit, especially in all but the bottom right corner foreground. That would really make this image pop.
