This is a dogwood that I took. I used Color efex pro and the darken/lighten filter to bring focus to the stem and flower area.
Canon 7D

Todd, Nice perspective - I'd have thought this was a Magnolia. This photo works well for me - the only suggestion I have is to burn the highlights a wee bit to ensure that don't seek any extra attention.

Todd: Great and unconventional POV for this bloom. I like the color palette as well. Nicely done.>=))>

What a fine take on a dogwood bloom Todd. Good light for sure and you're subject has tons of presence. Very fine photography for my tastes.

This antique look is great. Colors and textures work so well. Like the shadows in the top half.

Beautifully handled, Todd ! Must try this filter - you've certainly got superb lighting to bring out the textures of both stem and flower with great clarity.
