Doug: Not an obvious LB shot and IMO so much the better. I would prefer this without the OOF flower above the main subject but the light is terrific and I like the POV. Nicely done.>=))>

I like this a lot Doug. I do agree with Bill about the oof flower at the top. My inclination would probably be to clone it out. Given the light, vivid color and sense of energy in this I'd certainly be inclined to spend extra time on it. Beautiful image as posted.

I like it when the Lensbaby effect is not overdone - lovely rendition. The top flower is a small nit as already mentioned. I don't have this star aperture for Lensbaby - need to buy one now.

Thanks guys,
I was anticipating that the oof flower was going to be an issue with folks, as it was for me also. I have have a comp where the flower is not overlapping, but I don't like the angle of the main sunflower on that one nearly as much. I had to do some cloning in at the very top to cover a white sky, but was having trouble cloning out the oof flower. However, with some extra effort, I think I can do it.

Wonderful lighting and color. I think I'd be inclined to crop the top at the point where the lighter BG intersects the OOF flower rather than cloning it out. If part of it is eliminated, I don't think it competes, and this also evens out the BG.

This is very nicely captured Doug, I find the well backlit main bloom really stands out with the fantastic "repeatilng OOF" BG.
Very well done!

Doug: I like both reposts but do prefer the first with the BG flower cloned out. Really nice work on all. >=))>
