Rosemary's Baby

I remember shooting this small Jumping Spider back in 2005. Shot with my first DSLR, a Canon 20D/Sigma 150mm combo. Fascinating to watch as it moved through the sprigs of rosemary. It would scurry and stop momentarily, then quickly move/jump from sprig to sprig.
Title inspired by Rosemary's Baby, a 1968 American horror film written and directed by Roman Polanski, based on the bestselling 1967 novel by Ira Levin.

Whoa! Very nice! This is incredibly sharp. The detail is fantastic! The soft green background is really nice, and the rosemary leaves are beautiful. Love those eyes. Though perhaps LOVE isn't quite the right word. ACK!

Absolutely great shot, Howard. I don't think I've ever seen texture as good in the face and eyes area of a spider. Your DOF is superb. If you have never posted this before, what have you been waiting for.

Hey Howard, this guy looks pretty scary. Nice details on the little critter.

Maybe a little TOO MUCH detail. Now I'll have nightmares! Incredible shot.

Howard,
last week-end I tried to take some spiders shots but none comes close to this. Great in every aspect. :toast: :wavey:

Love the picture and the eyes... the anterior medial eyes, that is, but I do like also the lateral ones
Thank you for sharing!
