Missed it!

Photographed this Tricolored Heron about two weeks ago on Galveston Island. I titled it 'Missed it!' because he came up empty handed. I liked the splash though.

Dottie,
I really like the pose, the brilliant droplets, the catchlight and the detail.

That is a very interesting splash. It's pretty amazing that his head is back to a normal position yet there's all that water flying.

Nice timing, Dottie. LIke the pose and the mating plumes, also.

Nice Dottie. The lighting is really beautiful. I like the way the water is so frozen with those extra large drops. Great job here.

Very, very nice Dottie, the Heron is magnificent but the perfectly frozen water droplets are for me what makes this image stand out from the crowd :^)

Good work in PP BTW ;^)

Very nice capture Dottie. Love the water and detail and comp look good. The dark patch on the forehead would be worth trying to pull a little detail out of IMO.
