I've found this species very difficult to get close to here at home, so on my last night at last light at Viera, I was happy to spend my last hour with this one.

Excellent detail in this merganser, Sharon. I like the reflected lines from the water shining on his breast. I think the composition works really well. Very nice image.

Amazing light and the bird is beautiful - a lower angle would have been better but I'm sure quite difficult.

sweet one, Sharon. the light, pose, and setting are all really nice. no nits from me--but surprised to see you work at ISO 100 with such a slow SS--seems to have worked out fine here.

colors and lights are pretty good as well as the composition. I expected the larger version to be more detailed.
